Dr.
Bulczynski is a graduate of University of Toronto and a 1993 graduate
of the University of Toronto School of Medicine, Toronto, Canada.
He completed his orthopedic residency training at McGill University,
Montreal, Canada, and was certified by the Royal College of Surgeons
of Canada. He trained as a Spinal Surgery Fellow at University of
Western Ontario, London, Canada, and at Brown University in Providence,
R.I.
He
was previously in practice at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Melrose,
MA. Dr. Bulczynski is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic
Surgery and is a member of the North American Spine Society and
the New England Spine Study Group. He has a special interest in
the treatment of spinal problems and fracture care. Dr. Bulczynski
has been named as an Instructor in Orthopedics at Tufts University
School of Medicine.
Dr.
Bulczynski is performing kyphoplasty, a minimally invasive, percutaneous
procedure for treatment of vertebral compression fractures caused
by osteoporosis and certain cancers. Dr. Bulczynski also performs
the X-STOP, a minimally invasive lumbar spine decompression procedure,
for relief of pain from neurogenic claudication caused by spinal
stenosis. Both of these procedures are usually done under local
anaesthesia and many patients can return home the same day.
