Dr. Ferrone is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Yale Medical School. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Dr. Ferrone is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and he is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, New England Orthopedic Society, and the Massachusetts Medical Society.

Dr. Ferrone has been in practice since 1970 and he has also served as the former Chief of Adult Reconstruction Surgery and Senior Orthopedic Surgeon at New England Medical Center in Boston.

Dr. Ferrone is a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine. He has published numerous articles and is an investigator for multiple total joint studies.
