Laurie Katz, M.D.

Dr. Laurie Katz is a Magna cum laude graduate of Tufts University where she received many athletic awards as a varsity diver. She is a 2002 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Katz completed her orthopedic residency training at the Tufts Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Program. She then went on to complete a fellowship program in Sports Medicine at New England Baptist Hospital. During her fellowship, she gained training room experience working as an assistant team physician for the Boston Celtics and Harvard University Athletics. Dr. Katz is the current medical director of the Lasell College athletic training education program, and she is also the team physician for Lasell College student athletes.

Dr. Katz is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine and is board certified in orthopedic surgery. She is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). She has a special interest in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery.

Dr. Katz has been named to Castle Connolly’s Best of Boston Top Doctors every year since 2020, Massachusetts Top Doctors since 2019, and Exceptional Women in Medicine since 2019.
