Arthur J. Lee, D.O.

Dr. Arthur J. Lee is a board-certified physiatrist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with subspecialty certification in Pain Medicine. He specializes in the diagnosis and interventional treatment of spine-related pain and is dedicated to helping patients restore function and improve quality of life through advanced, evidence-based care.

Dr. Lee earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University before attending medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, followed by a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Michigan.

A former Harvard Baseball player, Dr. Lee brings the same discipline, teamwork, and commitment to excellence from athletics into his medical practice.

Previously, Dr. Lee served as Chief of the Emerson Health Spine Center, where he led a multidisciplinary team dedicated to comprehensive spine care. He has also served on the Institutional Review Board at Scripps in La Jolla, California, and currently contributes to the North American Spine Society’s Political Engagement Committee. He is an active member of both the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the North American Spine Society.

Outside of work, Dr. Lee enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter and following their equestrian pursuits.

Dr. Lee is excited to join the Newton-Wellesley community and looks forward to providing compassionate, patient-centered spine care.
