Alexander Lieber, M.D.
Dr. Lieber is originally from Lexington, MA. He received an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Drexel University College of Medicine, he completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and then went on to complete a fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Lieber has authored over 20 articles in peer reviewed journals on a variety of topics including minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery and robotic-assisted joint replacement. He has expertise in complex and revision total ankle replacement, minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, ankle arthroscopy, deformity correction, Charcot reconstruction, orthopedic trauma and fracture care.
Dr. Lieber's philosophy on patient care is to personalize each patient's treatment plan based on their activity level, circumstances, and unique goals. He believes in always maximizing conservative care. If surgery is recommended, Dr. Lieber takes the time to lay out the options with his patients and their families and uses a shared decision-making approach.
In his spare time, Dr. Lieber enjoys hiking, exploring National Parks, skiing, and spending time with his wife. He is also an avid New England sports fan.
